imageMiddlesbrough was brought to it’s knees once again as Teesside’s annual alternative festival shook the very foundations of the Students’ Union with a four stage rock epic.

Of course Sarah and I were on hand to keep an eye on proceedings for you and as well as our interviews with the wonderful I Divide, Blitz Kids and Bury Tomorrow, we managed to catch a load of bands too!

Well you’ve read the reviews, you’ve heard what we have to say on the matter and now it is time to crown the winners and losers of this year’s festival.

We’ve split the bands into eight categories with three nominees in each, the three are all as worthy as each other but there has to be a winner.

Bury Tomorrow

As well as headlining Teesside’s Make a Scene Festival┬áin July, Bury Tomorrow will be embarking on a full treck around the UK in the coming months.

The tour will round off the cycle for last year’s monumental album “The Union of Crowns” and the news comes mere days after the smashed it at Download Festival.

The five piece from Southampton just missed out on a gong at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods this year, losing out on the Best New Band award to Bleed From Within, just weeks after coming second in our very own Rock Countdown of 2013. (more…)

Young Guns were crowned champions in the Keep Calm and Rock On Countdown of 2013.

The title track from their 2012 album Bones, won the accolade after narrowly beating off competition from Bury Tomorrow and Axewound. (more…)
